Grand Opening:
All the months of planning and building, my new studio is now ready to open for classes, students and visitors. The Grand Opening and ribbon cutting is 2:00 PM January 20, Friday, by the Mayor Phil Decker of Martinsville, I invite all my friends at SALI to join in the celebration and come tour my new studio.
The Address is 190 East Morgan Street, Martinsville. The Name of my new studio is THE ART PLACE. I look forward to seeing you. If you can't make it then, we will be staying open till 8:00 PM on this special occasion. Normal hours are 11-7 PM Tuesday thru Saturday.

Every Wednesday!
Paint from a still life in the Pumphouse every Wednesday 1pm - 4 pm. Its cold outside but the weather is fine inside! Bring some things to build your still life with, a cloth for draping and a spotlight or clip light. All mediums welcome.

Wine and Canvas Workshop
Sally Hedges has moved her studio to 2655 Burton lane in Martinsville and they are offering unique gifts, art lessons, fine art and ready made frames. They have wine and canvas workshops also. The next workshop is Feb 11 at 5 pm. The class fee is $35.00 included all supplies, wine tasting and wine pairings with each wine. Class is nearly full! Visual: Greater Greenwood Arts Council Seeks Entries for Art on the Trailways
The Greater Greenwood Arts Council in partnership with the Greenwood Parks and Recreation department are proud to announce the inaugural temporary installation of sculptures along Polk Hill Trail in Greenwood, IN. Deadline is February 15th, 2012 (11 p.m. EST). During the 2-year time period, the artwork will be viewed more than 7 million times by vehicular traffic, trail use, and nearby community events. An award of $3,000 is available for each sculpture selected. Digital submissions via YouSendIt dropbox of already completed and available artwork will be accepted.
