Midwest National Abstract Art Exhibition IV

The public is invited to the Midwest National Abstract Art Exhibition IV, an annual event cosponsored by the Southside Art League, Inc. and Garfield Park. All Paintings are for sale, so collectors should come early. This unique exhibition is dedicated entirely to showcasing abstract artists.

Forty-three professional artists represent 8 states from coast to coast, including California, Colorado, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. The 49 paintings feature a wide spectrum of abstract styles and contemporary media.

Paintings will hang from September 13 – October 10, 2008 . Meet the artists at a black tie optional Reception/Awards Ceremony on Saturday Sept. 13, from 6:30-9:00 pm.

The Garfield Park Arts Center, 2432 Conservatory Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46203 is located in the center of Garfield Park near the pagoda. For the reception, park and enter at the lower level; after that, park on the upper level and enter through the north door.

Exhibition hours are Sun., Tues., Thurs., Friday 1:00 – 5:00 pm, Wed. 1:00 – 9:00 pm , and Sat. 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Closed Monday.
